Guevara to debut at "Knuckle Up" July 13th

NWA TXStampede is excited to announce the debut of one of the most physically gifted talents in Texas today. The self proclaimed "Best Ever" Sammy Guevara joins the BMF's of Smash Mouth Wrestling at "Knuckle Up" July 13th LIVE from the Balch Springs Rec Center (4372 Shepherd Ln. 75180) when he faces Mexico's own, Low Rider. "My first time in North Texas is going to be epic. I've already traveled from Mexico to the East Coast and everywhere in between. "TBE" is going to make an impact July 13th at "Knuckle Up" when I face Mexico's own Low Rider. I'm Texas' HOTTEST Free Agent, so what better company to debut my talents than in North Texas HOTTEST company, NWA TXStampede. One of the incentives of debuting for TXStampede, other than competing against the most Athletic roster in Texas, is the future announcement of their next Championship Tournament. I will do things at "Knuckle Up" that NO ONE will have seen before...or they wouldn't call me...The "Best Ever"...exclaimed the very confident, Sammy Guevara.

Saturday July 13th, the BMF's of NWA Texas Stampede in association with TandAs Wrestling Palace (Traders Village, Grand Prairie - Booth #1310) & IndyFanatics.com return to Balch Springs to present "Knuckle Up" LIVE from the Balch Springs Recreation Center (4372 Shepherd Ln. 75180)

Danny Matthews discusses Smash Mouth Wrestling

Danny Matthews is no stranger to "up and coming" or "next big thing" tags. He dealt with those same labels when he was just breaking in from setting up chairs, to working cameras for UPN to ref , manager then eventually a solid and accomplished tag team specialist and now a top contender to the "Bull of the Woods" Championship, currently held by "Addictive & Expensive" Byron Wilcott. On July 13th, LIVE from the Balch Springs Rec Center (4372 Shepherd Ln. 75180) a "TXStampede Original" Matthews faces one of those "fastest rising stars" in the "All American Texan" Chris Cross. Here he mentions Cross, McKenzie, Action Jackson and what the future holds for NWA TXStampede and Danny Matthews.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  We want to thank Danny Matthews for joining us today for a very rare interview.

Danny Matthews:   Thank you for allowing me this opportunity.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  You've got a big match coming up at "Knuckle Up" July 13th in Balch Springs.  Any words for your opponent, Chris Cross

Danny Matthews:  I wouldn't call it a big match for me as much as it is for Chris.  I've wrestled some of the best talent in the state the past several years while he was learning his trade against the same 4 or 5 guys in the sticks of Waxahachie.  It's not being arrogant.  That's a fact.  He's been lucky to get in on the good side of the Powers that Be of TXStampede.  He had a good tryout a few shows back, then seemingly shocked the world with a quick roll up against ("Absolute") Ricky Starks.  I felt, however, he was a little rough around the edges during his tag match with Starks against me & Jax Dane at "Hard Times".

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  So you're saying Chris Cross doesn't deserve a spot on the TXStampede roster?

Danny Matthews:  That's not at all what I'm saying.  I think someday he's going to be good and like some people are saying, he's one of the fast rising Athletes in the State, but that doesn't mean he's ready for the BMF's of the ring just yet.  We'll see July 13th.  Granted he fits the role of what a TXStampede Athlete is.  He has gear, a good body and is technically sound in the ring.  That's the bare minimum of what it takes to get to the top of Smash Mouth Wrestling.  I've trained with Manny Fernandez, Lance Romance, Krusher Kong and a host of others.  That little dudes gonna have to bring his "A" game and have the match of his life if he thinks he's got a chance with me.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  Understood.  So let's talk about the return of McKenzie to the Company.  It's no secret you guys are no strangers to each other.  What are your thoughts on seeing him again?  It's been awhile.  There are many in North Texas that are looking forward to his return to TXStampede.  Any chances of a Matthews/McKenzie tag team?

Danny Matthews:  Yeah, it's going to be different seeing him again.  He's a real good dude that's gone through some changes over the past year or so.  I highly doubt there will be any tagging.  It seems we're both concentrating on singles competition and rewards right now. It'll be a test from James Beard if he decides to pit us against each other.  I know it will be a fans treat to see us go toe to toe.  It will be a classic Smash Mouth style contest.  I'm looking forward to seeing him at "Knuckle Up" to see what kind of impact he's going to make this time around.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  There are serious rumors that this will be Action Jackson's last year in the business.  Any thoughts on the "Texas Legend" finally retiring from active competition maybe accepting a position in the TXStampede front office?

Danny Matthews:  I watched Action when I was growing up from the Sportorium to the PCW Arena.  His battles against Lance Romance and the International Playaz Club were legendary.  He's one of the more respected individuals in the business.  There's a time we're all going to have to put the boots up in the closet and shut the door on the in ring career.  Action has set the standard for North Texas for many years.  He'll leave a void, I'm not sure there's anyone right now can fill.  James Beard and the TXStampede office are the best at training and developing the Athletes that really want to succeed.  I'm ready to step in the "Texas Legends" proverbial boots.  I know, if given a chance, I'll be able to do what Action hasn't been able to accomplish and that's beat Byron Wilcott for the NWA Texas Stampede Wrestling "Bull of the Woods" Championship.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  Strong but moving words for the Texas Legend.  Anything you'd like to add for your fans?

Danny Matthews:  I want to thank you for the time to express my feelings and get some much needed frustrations off my chest.  You  can keep up with me on my facebook & twitter pages. (facebook.com/RealDMatthews & @RealDMatthews) I appreciate the support and look forward to see what the future holds in NWA TXStampede.  I've been here since day one and hope to rebound from some big losses and make the true Smash Mouth Wrestling fan proud of me when I, not only beat Chris Cross, but use that momentum towards Championship gold in the immediate future.  See you July 13th LIVE from the Balch Springs Recreation Center (4372 Shepherd Ln. 75180)

James Beard discusses the new NWA TXStampede

With the Blockbuster announcement late Tuesday evening (from the Desk of Tony Brooklyn) that Texas Stampede Wrestling had joined the National Wrestling Alliance, the oldest governing body in professional wrestling, TXStampedeWrestling.com contacted James Beard, the current Director of Wrestling Operations, to hear his thoughts on one of the most important decisions he's made for what is now known as NWA TXStampede.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  Thank you, Mr. Beard, for allowing this time to speak to you about about an exciting announcement just days prior to one of the most important events in TXStampede, or should I say, NWA TXStampede's short history.

James Beard:  You're welcome, and you can call me James.  I'm more than happy and proud to discuss the recent announcements and events for NWA TXStampede.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  Ok, James, this Saturday May 4th in Balch Springs, Texas, you have one of what many are saying is the most important events in NWA TXStampede history.  How so? And why, after already having an event this year (TX8 Tournament 2.23.13) did you decide to join the NWA instead of back in October when many were joining left and right?

James Beard:  I haven't lasted this long in the business by making emotional or hasty decisions.  I sat back and watched everything transpire (NWA ownership changing hands via a lawsuit) last year and felt it was about time to make a decision.  I contacted the TXStampede Advisory Staff and picked their brains on what they felt were the pros and cons of joining the National Wrestling Alliance.  As far as "Hard Times" being the most important event in NWA TXStampede history, that's an understatement.  At every show we strive to set the bar even higher than the previous one.  We currently have only ran in Balch Springs but we have a long term business structure that will allow us to provide Smash Mouth Wrestling style events for many years to come.  Attendance is important, of course due to the bottom line, but providing solid & competitive match ups with highly trained Athletes is our top priority.  Too many starts up over the past decade have wanted to be "The next big thing".  We're focused on longevity and not trying to make some noise for a year or two, then fizzle out.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  So you believe the NWA decision is a Win for NWA TXStampede?

James Beard:  It's a Win / Win for both sides.  The NWA isn't "just three letters for fans to chant" at shows.  There is a rich history to the brand.  Like I mentioned earlier, I studied this new NWA regime (Bruce Tharpe / Chris Ronquilo) and when I was invited to attend and officiate at the NWA Houston's Parade of Champions Paul Boesch Tribute, I was able to get a full feel of what this new NWA is about.  There are some solid NWA Champions, including the Tokyo Monster Kahagas (first NWA Grand Slam Champion), and the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Rob Conway is a great representative for the brand.  It will be an honor to have him compete at a future NWA Stampede event.  This also opens an additional avenue for Barbi Hayden to challenge for the NWA Women's World Championship.  It's a win for the NWA too as they now have a strong anchor company based out of Dallas.

TXStampdeWrestling.com:  You feel NWA TXStampede and National Wrestling Alliance are on the same page as far as expansion and vision?

James Beard:  Look, the NWA & NWA TXStampede groups can believe whatever we want.  Ultimately, the Athletes must also see the vision of the brands.  If the workers don't want it or "get it" then none of this matters.  NWA TXStampde will allow an additional stage for Athletes such as Carson, Wilcott, Matthews, Jackson, Starks, Reigns, Claxton and others to attempt to earn NWA title shots and gold, in addition to our own "Bull of the Woods" Championship.  There is currently a very positive surge in the State and we look forward to using outside talent like Jax Dane, Raymond Row, Scot Summers, Ryan Genesis, Brent McKenzie and Mike Dell.  It's an exciting time for Texas wrestling & NWA TXStampede.  Let's not forget the Staff that puts in hundreds of hours in between, and the day of each event, to ensure things go off without a hitch.  Travis Baxter, Alex Curran, Big Biss, Stan Callahan, Cole Yates, James Ranft & the City of Balch Springs assistants all contribute.

TXStampedeWrestling.com:  Thank you for your time, James.  Anything else you'd like to mention?

James Beard:  Just that this Saturday really is very important to NWA TXStampede.  Come out and support some Smash Mouth Wrestling as each and every Athlete on the card sets out to steal the show.  There's a saying our facebook.com/TXStampede likes to  use, "Don't Compare, Just Be There"...and that's exactly what fans of professional wrestling should do by attending "Hard Times" this Saturday, May 4th, LIVE from the Balch Springs Rec. Center (4372 Shepherd Ln. 75180) with a NEW Start time of 6pm.  Come see the crowning of our first "Bull of the Woods" Champion when Luke Hawx competes against "Addictive & Expensive" Byron Wilcott and a return match from the TX8 Tournament between "Action" Jackson & "Texas Prodigy" Carson with Barbi Hayden.  We also have Danny Matthews, Chris Cross, Ricky Starks, James Claxton, Alex Reigns and the debut of Rudy Russo on the card.  I meant it when I said, North Texas needed it...The Fans deserve it.  Check out all our social media sites for more information.
